About The Career Desk

Built by the person your resume has to get past.

Eighteen years on the hiring side of the table. More than a hundred leaders hired. Thousands of resumes read in the seconds each one actually gets.

The story

Most of the people I never called could have done the job. Their resume never showed it.

I'm Michael. I have spent eighteen years running searches, reading the stack, and deciding who gets the interview, and still do the hiring today. The Career Desk exists because of a pattern I could not unsee: qualified people losing to formatting. Their story got lost to the screening software first, then to the human scan, and nobody ever told them why the phone stayed quiet.

The eighteen years were spent as a director and VP across Sales, Finance, Marketing and Operations, at companies with more than 12,000 people. I built the teams, so I did the hiring: over a hundred leaders, and the panels that chose between finalists.

The standard

Everything here is checked by the person who does the deciding.

The templates are built to pass the software and the six-second scan. The rewriting and interview prep are done to the standard of someone who has reviewed thousands of resumes and run the panels. And the promise printed on every listing holds everywhere: if you get stuck, message us and we answer within a day.

Every price is printed. No quote calls, no code hunting, no games.
We never promise you the job or the interview. Anyone who does is selling something else.
Drafts never ship without the hiring manager's read.
Message us and we answer within a day. Printed on every listing.
